I noticed a problem. When sending packet 0x69 (Exit game), the diablo client will crash.

I'd imagine it's a problem with the client. I just packet logged it and there is nothing nothing unusual (the 0x69 packet goes out just fine). The client is likely in an unexpected state and doesn't know how to handle the server's response.

I ran this in a debug build (which is -full- of assert checks) and none of them fired, so that leads me to believe there's nothing wrong with the proxy itself.

Details plz. Just saying you are not able to do something doesn't provide any useful information to begin troubleshooting. Make sure you are connecting to the realm you want. Also try it on other realms. If you are having problems joining games are probably just temporarily tagged.

im playing on europe.. so ive put:

127.0.0.1 localhost
127.0.0.1 uswest.battle.net

gateway ive chosen: US West (in diablo II)

redvex setups: name: europe.battle.net .. the ports ive left like they are.

when i click on battle net i come into my char selection.. but it just keeps "connecting" after 1 minute or so it says that im unable to connect.

Did you press "Start" in the proxy?
If you have WinXP you might need to turn off firewall (because it blocks servers from what I understand).

No worries - you can also modify the battle.net realms in the registry. I'll post a registry file when I get home.
