What did Blizzard change? Some people on d2jsp write that they were changing something server side and screwed it.
I never figured out how someone from Europe could get @Europe

Is this connected with illegal / illy names (those with weird symbols like !@#$%^&* in the account names?). If yes, how?

The only B.net related exploits were that you could literally spam the shit out of everybody and the only way to protect yourself was to ignore non FL whispers or go to /dnd.

You could invade channels and the account would be unremoveable because B.net interprets Blah@Europe as Blah.

Other exploits would be remote control of channel bots similar such as Stealthbot when you could control them by creating an WC3 account with the same name but Stealthbot would think it's the owner but this time it would be Blizzards fault because the don't recognize @Europe.

TDLR: Perfect Spamaccounts, destroy noobs using channelbots.

Thank you for the explanation!

Could you please explain how to get the @Europe thing? I got it few times randomly, but never managed to figure out how some people seemed to constantly have it (stealbot login?).

You could create those on any account with @Europe @USEast for a few days.

According to the B.net postings @ has been replaced with # and @ is free again but it seems that WC3 botowned channels get destroyed. In

In short botowned channels complain that spambots destroy their channels.

If you know some botchannels with an active channelbot you are likely able to destroy them now.
