soo how did u guys get this to work? does it not work for win7 or something

Running win7 x64 and I can't get it to work.

The debugger says "Currently no open Diablo II windows."

Absolutly fantastic that this program have been op'ed so fast, the goldspammers are already back again, we might as well get the maphackers.

Just a little construcktive critisism. It's not realy the best ideer to put the reveal shortcut button as F5,
since almost everone is using that for some spell, rather have the reveal button set to a letter or a nummer not used that offen.

This is very true. I set mine to "=" since it's not used for gameplay at all. Other then the various times I want to type =\ in game, there is no other issues. Only problem is whatever key you set it to, you can't type that character. So just set it to whatever button you won't be using.

//edit - To change your character, just open the D2SM configuration settings file in the D2SM 1.2 folder. Just edit whatever is inside the {} to the key you would like. As for mine it says:

If it isn't working for you try this as it solved my issues.

Run Diablo 2 as Administrator.
Create a game.
Alt-Tab to Desktop.
Run D2SM as Administrator.
Switch back to Diablo 2.
Press f5 (or if you changed the key, then press that key)

You have to run as Administrator or it won't work.

However, sometimes it still won't work and will give an error such as
UNHANDLED EXCEPTION
ACCESS_VIOLATION (c0000005)

It did reveal the map but my computer started slowing down. I became suspicious and went back to windows to look at the processes and got this. I couldn't even open task manager.

Same, I run everything in admin mode and still cannot detect open d2 window - Running d2 minimised and maxi, still cannot find open d2 window, also disabled sand boxie, and still cannot find d2 window.

I´ve been using this for quite a while now, and I do prefer it over D2MR just because of the quick launch button, which i´ve been waiting for so long, lol..

It still not perfect, it crashes alot for me. Just when i try to reveal the current act, d2 crashes. *
And you also need to change the "REVEAL" key (F5) Because now I can not use F5 as hotkey..

Fixed mine, as I run Sandboxie it adds [*]Diablo II[*] as title for game, even turning off the title to have normal title does not work, So I deleted my profile for my main d2 player in Sandboxie, that was also a task, I had to uninstall the whole program, but remade profiles for my other 3 d2 windows and kept my main d2 window minimised and not sandboxed, after doing that it works fine.

If you are using Sandboxie to run multiple d2 windows this MH has problems detecting that d2 is open as sandboxie has launched it.

I will look into the crashes, but please remember not to walk while revealing. If you are using sandboxie, remember to launch d2sm into the same sandbox. Remember also to run as admin.

It isn't the program, it's clean. Since its opensource, you can compile it yourself.

Can you change the "Reveal Act" button? F5 is used for bindings.

Create a file called "D2SM.ini" in same folder, paste this content in it:
Edit revealkey to whatever you like, and save the file. Remember you can do key combinations, like ctrl+alt+r or something

When you first start it, it creates that file you did not add, and using F5 is fine, as I find you do your map reveal then unload program, then F5 can be used as normal.
