I've done something similar sometime ago, just parse S->C 0x5a (viewtopic.php?t=392307), if this help you the 1.13d offset its

So, if I understand what you are suggesting, I could track players kills/deaths count by getting the slain messages packets slain name, and slayer name, and link them to the corresponding player in-game?

Yes, and it would probably be less work, assuming you're familiar with handling packets.

Actually I'm not a lot familiar with packets handling :P But I will try some few things and see.
