Tiva, do you buy into every conspiracy theory around?
I'm actually curious as to which conspiracies he does not buy into, and why.
Various ones...
I do believe the planes were hijacked. I do not believe that laser beams hit the towers -- laughable.
I do not believe that Katrina was a example of weather warfare -- show me the evidence.
I do not believe that George W. Bush was behind 9/11 -- yah he is too stupid.
The question though as presented is inherently flawed... the term as used is meant to discredit a idea through insinuation that they are cooks (what comes to mind when you hear conspiracy theorist?). I could easily respond with...
I do not believe in the conspiracy theory known as the Official 9/11 report.
Others that I am not sure on... i.e. I have not drawn an opinion either way...
RFK assassination - I am leaning towards a stance on this issue... I just need to do more research... lots of interesting tidbits.
JFK Jr plan crash -- I have not done the research.
Paul Wellstone plane crash -- I have not done the research.
Larry Mcdonald plane crash --The official story seems more plausible. I doubt the US government would be in cahoots with the USSR during the cold war just so that they could kill a Senator who is a thorn in their back. The ample opportunities for him to by chance avoided that flight only fuel my view on the matter.
Obama is not an natural born citizen -- Both sides have yet to convince me.
Jeane Palfrey "suicide" -- Not enough evidence.
HARP -- Not enough evidence... I would like to read "Angel's don't play this HARP"
There are others that have slipped my mind...
Question:
Larry King... Boy's Town... Barney Franks... do any of those names ring a bell? That drama was quickly swept under the table and Barney Franks is still in power today.
When does a conspiracy theory cease being a conspiracy theory and accepted reality?
For example the Gulf of Tonkin incident and the idea that LBJ knowingly fabricated the incident to draw us into the war was for decades considered a conspiracy theory... now with the release of the LBJ tapes in full the fact that America was deceived into the war is considered common historical knowledge.
I try not to take a stance or come out on an issue until I have done my research. I am not always perfect and at times I speak from my emotions which is a vice I work to try and correct. I believe controversial subjects should be weighed on the merit of their evidence and not off the outlandishness of their ideas. I have long ago realized that reality is much stranger then fiction.
