I'm actually curious as to which conspiracies he does not buy into, and why.

Various ones...

I do believe the planes were hijacked. I do not believe that laser beams hit the towers -- laughable.

I do not believe that Katrina was a example of weather warfare -- show me the evidence.

I do not believe that George W. Bush was behind 9/11 -- yah he is too stupid.

The question though as presented is inherently flawed... the term as used is meant to discredit a idea through insinuation that they are cooks (what comes to mind when you hear conspiracy theorist?). I could easily respond with...

I do not believe in the conspiracy theory known as the Official 9/11 report.

Others that I am not sure on... i.e. I have not drawn an opinion either way...

RFK assassination - I am leaning towards a stance on this issue... I just need to do more research... lots of interesting tidbits.

JFK Jr plan crash -- I have not done the research.

Paul Wellstone plane crash -- I have not done the research.

Larry Mcdonald plane crash --The official story seems more plausible. I doubt the US government would be in cahoots with the USSR during the cold war just so that they could kill a Senator who is a thorn in their back. The ample opportunities for him to by chance avoided that flight only fuel my view on the matter.

Obama is not an natural born citizen -- Both sides have yet to convince me.

Jeane Palfrey "suicide" -- Not enough evidence.

HARP -- Not enough evidence... I would like to read "Angel's don't play this HARP"

There are others that have slipped my mind...

Question:
Larry King... Boy's Town... Barney Franks... do any of those names ring a bell? That drama was quickly swept under the table and Barney Franks is still in power today.

When does a conspiracy theory cease being a conspiracy theory and accepted reality?

For example the Gulf of Tonkin incident and the idea that LBJ knowingly fabricated the incident to draw us into the war was for decades considered a conspiracy theory... now with the release of the LBJ tapes in full the fact that America was deceived into the war is considered common historical knowledge.

I try not to take a stance or come out on an issue until I have done my research. I am not always perfect and at times I speak from my emotions which is a vice I work to try and correct. I believe controversial subjects should be weighed on the merit of their evidence and not off the outlandishness of their ideas. I have long ago realized that reality is much stranger then fiction.

You need fluoride, man. I have well water so I have to use special tooth paste that has fluoride in it or else my teeth will rot.

I'm telling you, man. This one is making you look stupid. The evidence that Obama is a natural born citizen is overwhelming. There's even a newspaper clipping around the time of his birth. Everything saying otherwise has been either forgery or funded by conservative interest groups. Honestly, your refusal to look at the facts and accept reality on this one makes you look like a partisan. I don't know what kind of partisan you'd be, but it sure as hell makes you look like one.

I believe the planes were hijacked as well. I don't believe the official 9/11 report. uh. lesse. I think I actually agree with you on the rest of them.

I will give him the benefit of the doubt and say indeed he is a natural born citizen,,, I only wish he would release the extended/long version of his birth certificate (i.e. not a certificate of live birth). The newspaper clipping doesn't really sway me though... there is numerous reasons a person would want to have their son born in the US that doesn't include some grand scheme to take over the Whitehouse 40odd years later and from my understanding all it took acquire your name in the paper was a relative vouching that you were indeed born in said locality.

By that standard you can't verify the citizenship of any Hawaiian since they digitized their birth certificates.

So the new digitized birth certificates do not include the hospital name were the baby was born at? Nor the name of the doctor who delivered the baby? I don't care what form it is in... I would just like it to have all the information.

Thanks for posting a link to his Certificate of Live Birth and excellent analysis on it. /end sarcasm

Could you answer my question though? No where does it include the doctor's name or name of the hospital.

From your link:
Quote:
The long form is drawn up by the hospital and includes additional information such as birth weight and parents' hometowns. The short form is printed by the state and draws from a database with fewer details. The Hawaii Department of Health's birth record request form does not give the option to request a photocopy of your long-form birth certificate, but their short form has enough information to be acceptable to the State Department. We tried to ask the Hawaii DOH why they only offer the short form, among other questions, but they have not given a response.

That is what I am looking for... i.e. the long/extended/full version of Obama's Birth Certificate.

I haven't read this entire thread. And by the looks of the last post you guys are way off subject.

But, IIRC, the ppm of fluoride in the average city's drinking water is really small. Possibly 1 or less PPM.

Studies have shown that fluoride promotes healthy teeth and gums so I don't think that 1 PPM is anything to fret about.

This is an example of how to argue with people who are not conspiracy theorists.

Thanks for blatantly ignoring my question!

Now do I think that you will drop dead if you ingest 1ppm fluoride... nope... I just do not believe that it can be healthy for you... fluoride only use is as a topical solution applied to teeth... even if I did grant you that it was completely harmless there is absolutely no reason to ingest it.

Huh? If this fluoride water is so great why the need to drink only purified water?

oh come on Tiva, I think I've shown beyond a shadow of a doubt that both your book and all the websites relating to this fluoride controversy are complete bullshit. A study from another country which extends outside the 'conspiracy' corroborating the allegedly 'fixed' studies? That's an absurdly high level of evidence. I drink purified water because there's other things in the tap water besides fluoride. I don't think I even filter for fluoride anyway.
