I just directly access the d2bs 'login' command for the mule that I want to use. So you just have 1 OOG profile that you use for the new window. I am storing the mule account/pass in a SQLite DB that my scripts access. When a new mule character is added I use the d2bs 'addProfile' command to add a profile (based on the rowid in the db to ensure unique d2bs profile name). So it doesn't matter what OOG thinks it's logged in with, you can login any d2bs profile.

The d2bs functions aren't even needed they just make it easier so I don't have to code the login stuff. I am storing all the login info in my mule DB so I don't really need the OOG to know any of it.

that still requires having prior knowledge on which mule account / pw right? they have to be already stored in the sqlite db?

for existing mules, yes, they would have to be in the db. But I already wrote scripts that handle the dynamic muling that will create new mule accounts and characters based on a prefix like I already explained early. When they are created the script adds a profile into d2bs. Basically, for what you are wanting if I understand you correctly, you just have it create a new mule every time.

So your script would be something along the lines of:

//Bot: recognize character inventory is full
//Bot: call sendCopyData to log in a generic profile you have set up in OGG
//Following commands are running in parallel
//Mule: first thing it does in starter.dbj is check to see if it's the generic mule profile and since it is it starts creating the next mule character
//Bot: logs out of game
//Bot: creates new game
//Mule: finishes creating new mule
//Bot: send sendCopyData to mule with game name/pass
//Mule: joins mule game
//Bot: drops items
//Mule: picks up items
//Bot: quits game
//Mule: quits game
//Bot: continues botting
//Mule: checks to see if any other mules need to be logged in so they don't expire
//Mule: potentially logs in other mules
//Mule: calls quitGame()

So there is some configuration you have to do ahead of time yes, but that is always the case. Once the configuration is done though it runs on it's own. You don't have to go in and put every character that is ever going to be created into the DB or something. They will get added automatically.

yeah that looks fine, one other thing to make it easier would be to mule on the account that bot is

7 mules should be enough for 1 bot before you unload them / sell them or w/e

so basically you would log into the same acc just diff char

That adds a lot of unnecessary complication in my opinion but you are welcome to do what you want. I have no plans to write it as I described, was just saying what you wanted was possible. I'm writing a system that works for how I want to use it and I'll be sharing it with people in case they want to use it too. Anyone is welcome to make changes to it to make it do what they want but atleast for the initial release I'm not going out of my way to code functionality I won't use ever.

I'll confirm it. We're working hard at it as I type this.

Apologies if this is an FAQ; I couldn't find anything related on the wiki.

With VS2010...

Multiple occurrences of:
fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'boost/any.hpp': No such file or directory

What's the fix for the boost error on VS2010?

There's some other minor stuff like...
arraySize -> ARRAYSIZE
... but are easily resolved.

Thanks.

Edit:

The method for compiling trunk has changed slightly. We now depend on boost, which means you must set that up first.

Yuck. Ok, I'll hold off on messing with this for now. I'm not a fan of sources that aren't self-contained.

Been running constantly now for 14 hours straight with not one c/i, restart or r/d. Now its time to play around with the scripts and make some minor modifications.

Great work to all the devs of this program. I'll contribute what I can in the future. Thanks again for all the hard work.
