Probably because Dota2 has been announced and in 8 months or so HoN will be a ghost town. But there's still like most of this year so I wouldn't really call it a sinking ship just yet.

@Sabo Electrician is probably more/just as viable now than he has been in the past relatively speaking.

That makes me happy.

It also makes me angry that all these ungrateful fucktards don't understand how great a developer S2 is and instead flock to popularized mediocrity.
I mean, DoTA 2 will be great with its physics and graphics and added social functions. It can't not be with Valve backing it. But I seriously doubt they've improved their balance, or game design, so much as to make nearly every hero viable like S2 does.
DoTA had many many heroes, not even most of which were viable in a competitive sense from all I've heard.
Maybe they'll prove me wrong though.

Uh, I trust Valve infinitely more than S2.

Just sayin'

This X10000

You're saying one of the original makers is going to fuck it up? If they listen to their fanbase AT ALL, it's incredibly easy to find out what needs fixing

I'm saying the original developer of the actual, bare bones, stopped working on it a long time ago. I'm saying the current developers did a great job bringing the bare bones to its current level.

That's great, but it's not amazing. They have a chance to make something amazing and I think they're going to settle for mediocrity. Still usable, but somewhat disappointing.

This is how I viewed HoN at first, but why fix what isn't broken?

Because HoN got there first AND has vector targeting AND a kickass design philosophy. By all means make it, but bring something new to the table!
