Ok so basically I kind of got fired from my job, reason my boss is a has no idea how to run a dunkin donuts and has no business skill at all. I'm a manager at a dunkin donuts in fox woods resort casino. one day my boss was trying to show me how to do something I said hey I got 3 yrs DD experiences she was like ur in charge and left. Now this is her first franchise and everything changes so often its hard to keep track of anything the other day I got suspended until further notice because I sent too many people home. Everything was done I just kept me and one other person instead of the 2 people she wanted me to keep. It was some bullshit about covering into the next shift. the next shift manager is a whiny little bitch that dramaticizes everything he told my boss I was trying to leave early and he closed the store early costing us money.(we were so dead tuesday afternoon 10-15 customers an hr. my labor costs were through the roof and there was nothing to be done cause we close at 10pm for total store clean.) Now my boss is a tribal high council person or something like that, shes used to just doing what she wants. She p. much owns the casino I work at. Now this was never a stated policy or anything and I waited untill there was 3 people in the store before I left. This is all technical and is basicly just a misunderstanding with my boss being unreasonable. She hadn't slept for 48 hrs and was drunk when she talked to me repeating mindless jibberjabber that made no sense. I sent her an e-mail explaining my point of view even offering to renounce manager and come in as a crew member. I don't really know what else I can do here shes just completely unreasonable. its really like hit or miss if were gonna get yelled at or shes gonna be joking and no work gets done.(nothing at all gets done when shes there as acting manager but thats ok cause shes the owner.) Being in the casino our stock is a half a mile away in a warehouse, once a shift you have to go stock the store esp. on my shift because they lock the freezer where the alcohol is so we cant get our bagels/muffins or anything frozen. I had this all done with my 2 people Im really flustered and everyone I talk to just says calm down. Basicly I got fired for violating one of my bosses random policy's I wasn't aware of but still did everything that needed to be done. Im guessing I wont have a problem getting unemployment over this because I was "suspended" for the dumbest reason.


Tl;dr: Got suspended indefinitely from my job for sending too many people home, next shift manager started saying a whole bunch of stuff like i tried to leave early, sent my entire shift home(they asked to go home and a chain of events presented made workers useless(no badge unable to get a cash bag, and someone threw up.) I clocked out at 9:15pm my shift ended at 9pm and I waited untill I saw another employee so there was now 3 employees in the store(I got suspended cause my boss randomly just decided we cant have less then 3 people) Theres so much miscommunication in the store its unreal things will change and I wont find out about them until next week. Basicly im asking should I just file for unemployment now, or what should my next move be?


I've already started the job hunt just incase... I really just don't know what I can do or should do for that matter.

Filed immediately, these fuckers take their sweet time before they give you anything anyway, but back pay all the claimed weeks as well.

You got set up at work, happened to me before as well. Everything seems reasonable, then you find out you have to deal with unreasonable/weird people. You get fucked.

File immediately, hunt immediately. I'm always job hunting even if I have a current job.. :/

Definitely file immediately, I was let go from my job at the beginning of MARCH and I still haven't received my unemployment. Argh!
That does stink being let go for having common business sense... I was let-go for offering an efficient method for tracking Attorney billing books that was far more effective than the currently implemented method... which I only did after asking for a copy of a TEMPLATE (.pdf) of a piece of paper, which was denied with prejudice. Oh well, old lonely bitches be my downfall.

Too true. Unless they're post-menopausal, in which case they're just annoying. I'm not sure which category my former supervisor fits in, but my downfall was assured from the start.

It's odd; when I try, or exhibit any amount of effort, I fail miserably. If I don't give two shits then I succeed and oftentimes excel. It's extremely demoralizing and disheartening

A company I was working at shut down about 2 months ago. I have found another gig since then, but I advise you to file for unemployment while you have some down time. It can only help, it helped me for sure.
