Hey guys. I'm looking for anyone that has some good knowledge of Wordpress. I have a good idea on how to use it, however I get frustrated and overwhelmed with the work at times, so I tend to take breaks from it. My current theme is pretty good, but I need a better one.

What I am looking for.
-A recommended paid theme (top of the line interface)
-ways to make my site look top of the line
-Someone interested in working on a video game site with me(just throwing that out there)
-A header

My site already has a fully functioning wiki as well as some other cool stuff.

I currently have a Video Game site that I am working on. Right now I am using a free theme/template, it does quite a bit, but I'd really like something flashy and easier to use. My computers suck, so it is making it hard for me to do anything fast, so I have not been working hard on it, I must admit.

I would consider myself very brushed and polished in the internet marketing scene, including SEO and all that. My web development skills are only as good as Wordpress will take me.

I can copy/paste code if need be, but I would need the interface to be the best and easiest to use. If you use Wordpress you will find out it is awesome, but there is no really easy way to do anything without a plugin, and finding the right plugin can become a problem. I have taken a break from my site in order to gather myself again, but I plan to work on it hard in the near future.

Either that or I need a web developer to team up with me to help me with the website, or we could make a whole new one. I will be spending plenty of time on this either way.

you should stay away from flashy & heavy process//bandwidth - when it comes to themes I couldn't recommend one. I learned Web Dev from the ground up started with HTML , moved to CSS , jScript , & PHP.

things I would suggest though. Is keep it simple, look at Blizzhackers. the layout is simple. just a few simple colors. nothing clashes
I'm sure behind the scene the website is complicated. but that's not what your users want to deal with. either go black or white with your text - obviously if you go white you need a darker color background. I come from more of a e-commerce side of web dev. so you may not want to keep a video game site as simple as something I would build for a business. so I mean have fun and do your website how ever you want. but the only things that should be complex is your script//code - not your design. look at facebook they moved towards the busy theme... which I personally dont like. have your menu at the top or the right hand side.

Sorry I can't be of much help. but ssimple things to think of.

Thanks for throwing in your two cents. I certainly agree with you keeping it simple.

I've actually gotten much further along and I am pretty stoked, starting to get the hang of wordpress.
