When and when did you guys first get into "hacking?" I'm 13 right now and wondering if this summer is a good time to start. Should I maybe read up on as many guides as I can? Do those 'hackthis' sites? Thanks in advance. :D

Well, sorry that I havn't fixed the posts havn't been here for a while. So ill update.

I never started hacking i learned how to secure my comp thats all. Well its your choice about summer, but i wouldn't its hot outside and you'll sweat while your on the computer which sucks :) Plus enjoy the lovely weather...
Winter is when I started.

I tried downloading that first file. . . but its a crazy file that i dont know what to open it with. . anyone know?

not sure what you are talking about... All the files seem to just be text files.. have you tried reading it with notepad?

It's funny that people always forget program security (buffer overflows, heap overflows, integer overflows, format strings, off-by-ones, etc) when they make threads about security. A beginner place would be to start with buffer overflows, and work your way up to more advanced things, such as heap overflows, etc.

I would just like to say that that is the *STUPIDIST* thing I have ever heard.

You really think people just starting will have any idea how any of that works???
