Alright so we all know how retarded GMs are amright? DE a epic, (51+) such as the Dooms Edge I DEed a few days ago to get some nex crystals from it so i could sell them to respect, I only 1 got nex from it so i was like bleh w/e. I ticketed a GM saying I had "accidently" DEed my Dooms Edge, about a hour later, I got a responce, he verified I had the item, he mailed it to me and went on his way. Nex crystals still in bag. I asked a guildie to do the same, he kept his crystals also and had his item restored. Apparently after talking to a GM you have 4 times on your account where you can have something restored. The GMs never take away the mats that you recieve from DEing apparently. Try it! remember you only get 4 restores on a account (this is 4 restore occations FYI, not just 4 items, ive had my character restored once with all of his items, this Dooms Edge si I have 2 left)

You are lucky, a few guys on our server accidently de'd soem gear and the GMs told them tough luck. So I'd say use at your own risk.

Usually they won't do shit if the items get disenchanted. Like if your account gets hacked and the dude disenchants all your shit - you're fucked.

If you DE all of your gear, #1 you're a idiot. I said max 4 restores per account, if someone else with a different IP then yours logs onto your account and messes with it in ANYWAY you quality for a complete account restore. Blizzard closes the account, requires noterized ID and your account is restored ususally 1 day before they re-open it.
All of this is comfirmed, so we don't need stories being posted in this thread about how your friend steve got hacked and blizzard didn't do shit. Read what I'm saying, if you have 1 or more restores left and another IP has logged onto your account, blizzard will restore it.
Also, blizzard will NEVER take a item from someones account unless Raid loot was handed out wrong, in this case the loot will be restored ONLY if the person who recieved the loot comfirms that it will be removed from his account. I have talked to Gms about this and they have said GMs will never take a item off of a account without the other persons consent.

It's not a matter of luck, it's a matter of rules that just are not printed inside a game manual or on blizzards website, they have rules they have to follow for everytime someone tickets them, blizzard can and will restore loot if you read my other post in this thread. If your friends on your server said blizzard didn't restore the item, either they're lying about it to get attention or they already had items restored in 4 different cases. I can't even tell you how many times our guild has had loot restored because bosses were grey, server was so laggy loot didnt even spawn, bosses despawning, loot going to the wrong people via master loot errors, people taking loot because they can't read ect.

If somone hacks your account and blizzard can verify its a different IP, changed pass, etc, they will restore all your items and give your account back.

Dude, one of my friends' account got hacked and they wouldn't give gold back or disenchanted items.

Then your friend already reclaimed items 4 times, waited to long to report it, didnt send noterized ID, or he didn't get hacked.

I can tell you that this is very much at your own risk. I had my account hacked by playing on a Netcafe wich for some reason allowed upto 2mb of own "Configs" wich lead to some tard isntalling keyloggers .. ANYWAYS! Reported as soon as i found out and i got my account back .. all chars itemless couss this dude dis'ed it all .. This was my first ever ticket to a GM so aint couss of that ... Maybe i just picked the Wrong GM at the Wrong day but still ... Be Carefull!

Get your best friend who you trust very much, to login at HIS house with YOUR account.

Have him DE your nice 8 piece Tier-2 set. Have him mail himself all your nexus crystals and all your gold. THEN, have him DELETE YOUR CHARACTER.

Petition a GM the next day and be all "OMG MY ACCOUNT GOT HAXED AND MY LEVEL 60 IS GONE!!!!!!!".

They will restore the character. Open another petition, and they will restore your nice 8 piece set. However, they will NOT restore your gold, or at least I don't think they will.

Assuming this is successful, and you get your character and all your shit back, have your friend send those crystals and your gold. It'll make you RICH.



BTW, don't try this more than ONCE, EVER. As a matter of fact, if you've EVER used a restore for a character or an item, don't bother.

Additionally Blizzard's "Item Restore Policy" does not say there's a numerical limit on how many restores you get. It's basically up to them, unless there's some unclear policy of 4 restores.

I know TWO people on my server, Boulderfist, who have had something like this happen.

First person was my warlock buddy in almost 8/8 Felheart (7 pieces I think). He quit WoW, DE'd all his shit, and sent crystals + gold to his best friend.

He decided to come back to WoW about 1 month later. Blizz restored all his Felheart. HOWEVER, he did have a Nemesis Skullcap in addition to his Felheart Horns. I DON'T think they restored his Nemesis Skullcap. So you probably can only afford to DE what you're wearing. If he petitioned a GM again, they could have probably restored his Nemesis though (he got another off of Ony next week). But they did restore 7 Felheart.

Another person I know, had 8/8 Dragonstalker. Someone hacked his account, DE'd all his gear, and sent themselves the shards + his gold.

They didn't delete the characer. This guy had to wait about 3 weeks to have his gear restored, but they restored all 8 of his Dragonstalker.


Keep in mind this is risky, but it DOES work if you do it correctly.

AGAIN, I wouldn't recommend DEing more than you've got on (you lucky bastards with 25+ epics in your bags).

BTW, if Blizzard says "Too bad" and doesn't restore your character, or restores your character but not your gear... you've been warned...

That's a really good way to get your friend's account banned.

He won't get banned...
