Blizzhackers

I wrote this little app after I sniffed some packets of WoW and noticed that the messages are not send 'encrypted' to the client.
Since the first (important) bytes are encrypted it works a bit hackish, but it works!

Updated to work with the latest WoW version (2.1.3 deDE tested)
also fixed some bugs and cleaned up the code.

edit2: I found someone to test it with, and fixed another bug!

NO DIRECT LINKING, if I see people downloading from other sites I stop hosting it.

To compile the source you need the platform SDK which is free, go to microsoft.com and search for platform sdk.

I dont know yet how wow hack detecting works... So i did'nt test this
But i looked it, seems no keylogger etc.

well it's just a packet sniffer (doesn't read/write from/to the WoW process at all)
so it shouldn't be detectable (but still, use at your own risk!) since I don't think wow will start to scan any process for it packets

I actually looked at it in detail.
its written in C, and is real.
I'll see if I can't get it to run now.
sorry for doubting you but there are alot
of dicks who make this sorta stuff up for attention

not sure why but it ran this time, perhaps my first 2 downloads
were corrupted. Once again I apologize.
I can't login to test this, but after debugging I can see
that its legit.

Okie I booted it up and sure enough it works.

Confirmed that it isn't a virus. But the app dosen't work, redownloaded the soft 4-5 times.

The code needs a bit of cleanup first but when it's clean I'll release it, it's no big deal though

I tested it with the latest (1.10.2-enGB) version, what version are you using?

Up and running for me but, it doesn't capture/display anything. Sniffer is running on second computer though, does this affect capture? Packets ARE visible to that machine, its only a hub between them.

Well, when I'm trying to unpack it, i'll get an error with WinRar

Can't execute the "C:\DOCUME~1\Walle\LOKALA~1\Temp\Rar$EX00.703\WoWSniffer.exe"

Finally got it unpacked, then I got a new error, Couldn't run the app because of incorrect in the programs configuration.

Tried on several computers =/

hmmm first I had this error on my PC too but when using the release build it worked. Sadly I have no idea what is causing this error nor how to fix it.
It seems to be a problem of VS2005 .. maybe I find my VS2003 ..

It should and I also tested this but often things are only working for the coder :/.
Can you choose a device ? if yes select the one with your internet IP

here's what I did.

I extracted to the desktop,
ran,
selected the interface I wanted to sniff,
then booted up wow.

when I had wow running then started it, it crashed.



Do you plan on releasing source?
Does it use WPcap?

I have WPcap installed,
along with VS2003,
and the free VS2005 (C++)

wondering if thats the difference between the systems that do
and don't work.
