Don't lock. Suites this forum best IMO.

Looks like KillersDream has finally admitted that his items are imports, and that with the new 1.13 patch Blizzard has accidentally patched the method while patching another exploit.

You can't trust anything he says. At all. But regardless, it's not something any of us can easily find/do. That is assuming what he told me was true.

I read the thread and what he was writing sounds like complete bullshit.

It looks rather like a photoshop or nonladder and he duped the items during the lagdupe phase.


First off: If you can import items then you will import better items then this crap.
Then he seems to have no clue when items have been imported so he just says 1.09 instead of the exact time.(FYI 1.09 had 4 official versions well 5 if you count the bugged 09c which was replaced after 3 hours)
Then he has no clue about the changed itemid architecture on closed servers after .08
If he had he would know that it would take much more then just "import" them.
He has no clue that blizzard fixed every open to closed flaw with 3 steps.
The method would be to break into AT&T, Telia etc. server headquarters and upload characters on the realm.

Even the vague public explantion of the open--->closed tells everybody that it was a "on game enter" exploit.

The post was meant to be brief, the exact time that items were previously imported was not important.

If importing was possible why don't we see bugged items like we did in 1.09?

I'm pretty sure it had to do with the upload character packet, which has since been removed. It's still on open, however.

Perhaps the server has constraints to what is on the server. . to allow a method to be possible.

Dunno, kinda shooting blind with the statement.

Almost correct--items have had internal GUIDs (which is what the dupe scanner uses) since the game was created. As for why this was never used for dupe detection prior to late 1.09, I have no idea. But I'm confident that the code has always been there.
