Why didn't you include the paid version of D3A, otherwise known as Immortal?

I just got stripped of my shit. I "opened" d3advanced (didn't use it- i use windows xp so it didnt work), then i paid for immortal bot and maphack.

Its one of those that got a keylogger or something...

I only used D3A and got stripped. Never visited any sites besides blizzhackers and d2jsp. So I dunno.

Well shit...
I'm glad I sold all my gold this morning and left my char with 400k and didn't buy any insane gear for my monk. Good thing making gold was my priority over gear...

Weird thing is though that he took everything away on my monk but left the equips on my DH. He probably didn't notice lol

What about authenticators? Did you use one?

This needs to be stickied. It needs MUCH more input and people need to take the time to answer the poll and post any extra information.

Should add options about having an authenticator to the poll too.

It has nothing to do with the hacks you used. Any hack that would have had a backdoor, especially paid ones, would have not yet utilized it. That would be retarded. Maybe someone distributing fake trojans, but not any large project originating with a backdoor. Next, an authenticator WILL NOT PROTECT YOU FROM THIS ATTACK. Irrelevant. Most importantly, you should be discussing what occurred in the game before you got hijacked. e.g., did someone share an item, did you notice a friend request, did some random trade with you, etc. Also, what exactly was the result of the attack. Items and gold gone from your last played toon, etc.

I haven't downloaded or used any hacks or bots and my account was cleaned out

The whole day before the attack I only played in a game by myself solo. I used the auction house. There was no indication that an attack was about to happen

Items + stash + gold gone from the last played toon. But items still remaining on my other toon.

Just to be safe I created a lvl 1 HC toon a while ago and log out of my account making him my last played as stash/gold is sep from SC.

This is the thing I am starting to find intriguing. Ive read a TON of posts on the forums and the people who got completely cleaned out were extremely vague in what they did and if they used any 3rd party (obv not going to admit it on Blizzards forums). The people who only got 1 character jacked were very specific in who they played with, when they played, use or no use of an authenticator, realm and public or private game.

Im starting to feel as if there's several things going on. Accounts are being compromised through stupidity (use of same email/password/etc on forums and such). However there seems to be another problem that looks serverside. Sadly my knowledge of all things server/client related is slightly less than zero. *shrug*

The items on my other character are pretty decent rares so I don't see why they wouldn't have cleaned that one out too, unless they couldn't
