So with the nerf in IAS, a lot of items that were highly valued because of their IAS gear have now cut in price by more than 50% ... Everybody is rushing to sell their gear and are easily undercutting the next highest price.

For those with experience in other games or even Diablo 2, do these item prices ever go up? Say an item is really good, and even with the IAS nerf is still probably the best slotted item for the class...Will it reach a point where the huge undercut-rush-to-get-out-the-door sales stop and the item's price go back up, or is it a perpetual drop until it reaches a point where it stays low?

You're asking if you should buy them now then sell them high when they go up again? :P

I doubt it, but if it were the case I suspect it would take a while for the prices to go up again.

Kind of yes...I have a few gears that I am hesitant on selling right now because of the chance the prices may rise again after people are done selling their stuff....

That's part of it, and the other part as you mentioned, if it is a good idea for me to go buy some of these gears....

Things are going to be a lot different in Diablo 3. You can pretty much be an inside trader if you know what they are doing next. I was hoping they'd keep the old attack speed weps the same(like they did for 1.08 in d2), so much for that.

The only thing that matters is how many people are playing and what they do to increase gold's value.. Aka raise repair costs. Whatever retards keep saying people won't fork out the money.. They are retarded and let them keep thinking that. The people that bought shit today will spend the same amount later, not to mention they spent that much 10 years ago on d2. Will this weapon still hold it's value against all of the new weps to come out in the future? You have to decide that.

If I were you I'd take what I can get for it now and make other purchases. In the long run you will make more money with the profits as if you were just to hold on to it and (maybe) get banned.
