What is Origins?
http://d2origins.comDiablo II Origins is a Private Server with the intentions to give players a place to play the way the game the way it was meant to be played. A server with a REAL economy. Imagine East or West with:
No Dupes
No Bots
No Realm Downs
No Scammers
NO STORES TO RUIN THE ECONOMY.
This is what this server is intended for. Origins will be heavily moderated to make sure everyone can have the experience they've always wanted from Diablo II. Remember the good old days where finding say, a Shako was actually worth feeling excited about? Being able to get rich from actually playing the game and MFing? Items being the currency, not duped runes. That's what we're aiming for. The nostalgic game that we were all addicted to so long ago. A perfected economy-based Diablo II.
MISC.
Main Features
Increased Experience Gain in The Secret Cow Level, Throne of Destruction, and Chaos Sanctuary. This will be quite faster than leveling on Public Realms.
Undroppable items on Public Realms can now drop, such as 70/15 small charms and Bugged Tal-Rasha Armor.
Increased item level drops of Cows, Chaos Sanctuary, Mephisto, and Worldstone Monsters. These are all viable MF areas now. Freedom to MF wherever!
Sojs required to spawn Diablo Clone is 10, down from 80-100 on Public Realms.
You can now have 16 characters on each account, up from 8 on Public Realms.
You can now have 200 friends on your friend list, up from 25 on Public Realms.
Heavily Moderated at all times! Scammers or any attempt to ruin the economy will not be tolerated.

Installer:

1. Download the Installer above. Install it to your Diablo II folder (it should go into your main
Diablo II folder, not a copy. either works though!).
2. Run the Origins Launcher shortcut on your desktop, double click Diablo II Origins from the
list. After Diablo II opens be sure the gateway is set to D2 Origins.*
3. You're good to go! Create an account and login.
4. You can get back on regular Diablo II (i.e. east / west) anytime without changing anything
by opening Origins Launcher and clicking Start D2 at the top right! Simple and easy.
*You do not need to use the Launcher if you know what your doing but you will need to dl the patch through the installer(you may false positive)
(7/16/2012) Patch 1.1 Release Notes:
• Maphack has been implemented into Origins. This will reveal maps along with show monster levels, item levels, and varying stats on unique and set items. You may also view other player's gear or stats by mousing over them and pressing "K". TO TURN MAPHACK ON, PUT A CHECK IN THE "Use PlugY" BOX ON THE RIGHT WHEN YOU OPEN ORIGINS LAUNCHER!
• SOJs required to spawn Diablo Clone is now 3, down from 7-10. Diablo Clone will now only spawn in the game the SOJs were sold in.
• Added the following items to drop:
- Wraith Brand (Varying Stats)
- Viper Trample (Varying Stats)
- 08 Valkyrie Wing
• Slighty decreased Bugged Tal Rasha's Armor drop rate.
• Experience gain for levels 1-25 has been increased.
• Increased experience of all Act 4 and Act 5 monsters.
• Increased Loot Table of all Act 4 and Act 5 Monsters.
• Cows experience has been increased in all difficulties.
• Cows Hell Monster Level has been fixed to 88, up from 81.
• Cows Loot Table has been increased.
• Cows life has been slightly decreased in all difficulties.
• Density of Cow Packs has been increased. Cow Pack size has almost been doubled.
• Moo Moo Farm Chests and Rocks item levels has been increased.
• Slighty increased Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal Loot Tables in all difficulties.
• Increased Mephisto's Normal Monster Level to 54, up from 50.
• Increased Diablo's Normal Monster Level to 58, up from 52.
• Increased Andariel's Nightmare Monster Level to 56, up from 51.

• Increased Diablo's Nightmare Monster Level to 70, up from 68.
• Increased Monster Levels of all monsters in Travincal.

(7/24/12) Patch 1.2 Release Notes:
• Standard of Heroes is now the item to sell to spawn Diablo Clone. The amount varies from 80-160, and he will spawn worldwide.
• 3 new unique amulets have been added:
- Armageddon Slippers (Varying Stats, ilvl 90)
- Storm Hide (Varying Stats, ilvl 90)
- Storm Circlet (Varying Stats, ilvl 91)
• Arcane Essence (70/15 sc) ilvl increased to 88, up from 86.
• Lowered the drop rates of Wraith Brand, Viper Trample, and 08 Valkyrie Wing.
• Mephisto, Diablo, and Baal loot tables slightly increased. There was a typo making them have less chance to drop high level armors / weapons.
• Mephisto can now drop up to ilvl 84 weapons / armors. This includes most items, besides a very few (i.e. Corona, Berserker Axe, Diadem, Ogre Gauntlets, Sacred Armor).
• Increased the loot tables of all Act 5 Bosses.
• Pit Level 2 monsters are now the correct level.
