Yea, it just depends on the changes they are bringing about. I'm not familiar with the new passive skill changes, which are pretty significant compared to before. I had done some build planning, but they are all broken now. I'm sure they'll tweak areas that end up getting used or farmed too much, which should make things interesting. For example, they fixed mervil's room and chest so it's not so long and exploitable, brutus chest, and are reworking the instance system so you can't just farm without progression. Back when I was more active in the beta, the Ledge was a pretty good area to use because of how simple it was. There was another area everyone farmed too in Act 2, fellshrine ruins?, but after one of the patches, the # of mobs in the area was reduced drastically.
I don't know if anyone heard or watched, but Kripparrian posted a video his impressions on PoE:
First Impressions. Whether you like him or not, the relevance of that video was that the devs actually got on his stream and were talking with him and his friends about the game and concerns and whatnot. It's pretty clear that GGG is going to be pretty involved with the game's community. I'm pretty sure a few of them will be watching these forums if they are not already.

Anyways, I'm looking forward to their upcoming changes and their ways of going about responding to specific things. I expect them to be clever about it, and not the typical knee-jerk reaction that most companies have. I say that because if you look at the direction they have taken the game, it's almost pure innovation and building upon previous things that people liked. Of course, I'm especially excited for the game, after how Diablo 3 went.
